One of the most confusing parts of Skylanders is figuring out which portal you have — and what it actually works with. To make things easier, I’ve put together a detailed guide that breaks down every portal model by system, with compatibility for each game and console.

Key Things to Understand First:

• Wii and PlayStation portals are cross-compatible, but not all portals work with every game. For example, a Spyro’s Adventure portal only works with Spyro’s Adventure and Giants — so make sure to double-check the compatibility section.
• 3DS, Xbox 360, and Xbox One portals are console-specific and not cross-compatible with other systems.
• Spyro’s Adventure was never released for Xbox One or PS4 — it’s only available on previous-generation consoles.
